The Human Resource Management (HRM) Section is home to a number of research groups and centres and undertakes research of an international quality in three broad areas:

The aims of the HRM Section are threefold:
- To promote research of an international quality in the three broad areas of organisation studies, employment studies and public sector management;
- To deliver research-led teaching of an outstanding quality
- To provide a supportive environment for the development of academic researchers and educators

Uzma Javed was the winner of the EDAMBA doctoral thesis competition in 2012.
